Kinstellar advises BIG Mega Renewable Energy on €92 million wind farm financing

Kinstellar advised BIG Mega Renewable Energy on securing a €92 million financing deal with EBRD and OTP Bank for the construction and operation of the Urleasca wind farm in Romania. 

This initiative marks BIG Mega Renewable Energy's debut investment in renewable energy in Romania, marking a significant milestone in the company's regional expansion strategy. The Urleasca wind farm, expected to substantially contribute to Romania's renewable energy objectives, is projected to generate 292 gigawatt-hours annually. The financial closure is projected to occur by mid-2024.

Kinstellar's support, led by Magdalena Raducanu (Special Counsel, Co-head of banking) and bolstered by Răzvan Constantinescu (Managing Associate) and Horațiu Crețu (Junior Associate), underscores the firm's dedication to renewable energy ventures. Iustinian Captariu (Partner, Head of Energy) leads the coordination of all energy-related affairs, with Cătălin Graure (Counsel) and the energy team providing comprehensive assistance.

Magdalena Răducanu commended all stakeholders involved, highlighting the increasing significance of renewable energy investments in the firm's portfolio.
