On May 16, 48 business leaders and representatives from well-known NGOs gathered at the invitation of Engie Romania and Habitat for Humanity for a major volunteer event. Their goal was to complete the interior finishes on four houses, which will soon be handed over to families in need in the village of Moara Noua, Prahova County.
This construction site, managed by Habitat for Humanity Romania, is part of a larger project that will eventually provide homes for 12 families, totaling 45 members. These families were selected in collaboration with local authorities, and the new homes will greatly improve their quality of life.
"There are at least three reasons why Engie Romania supported this social project. First, to support the cause of Habitat for Humanity Romania, our long-term partners with whom we've developed energy efficiency projects that have significantly impacted our communities. Second, because collaboration and involvement enable us to achieve extraordinary things together. Lastly, volunteer days like this remind us of the importance of investing in communities and caring for those around us. It was a privilege to work alongside partners, clients, colleagues, and opinion leaders," said Nicolas Richard, CEO of Engie Romania.
