Restart Energy has completed the construction and installation of two photovoltaic power plants for Aquaserv, with a total value exceeding €600,000.

This investment by Aquaserv is expected to be amortized within approximately three years. The projects, boasting a combined capacity of 928 kW, were installed on both the roof and ground in Tulcea. Comprising 1,703 panels that cover a total area of 11,332 square meters, these photovoltaic plants will generate 1,096 MWh of energy annually. This translates to a reduction in energy costs of over €210,000 per year for Aquaserv.

Additionally, the solar panels will significantly reduce environmental impact, cutting CO2 emissions by about 361 tons and radioactive waste by 3.4 kg annually. The reduction in carbon emissions from these solar energy projects will be tracked using the RED platform, implemented in 2021. This marketplace is dedicated to calculating carbon footprints, reducing carbon through sustainability projects, and offsetting carbon footprints. Green attributes, including individual sustainable actions and carbon credits, can be sold internally through the RED platform's marketplaces in a transparent and secure process designed to reduce carbon emissions and improve ESG policies.

"Investing in photovoltaic panels significantly reduces operational costs, particularly for companies that are large energy consumers by nature. We aim to expand our energy generation capacity, both for immediate financial benefits and to act responsibly towards the environment and support a green future," says Valentin C. Ifrim, General Manager of Aquaserv S.A.

"Through sustainable energy projects, we support our partners and clients in building effective resilience strategies in a volatile business environment. Our mission is to reduce the costs associated with energy and bureaucracy, enabling our partners to benefit from increased energy efficiency and the positive effects of decarbonization. Thus, we contribute to the sustainable growth and development of their businesses," says Armand Domuța, CEO & Founder of Restart Energy.

Restart Energy managed the entire energy efficiency project for Aquaserv, from consulting and design to implementation.

In January 2021, Restart Energy entered into a partnership with the American fund Interlink Capital Strategies from Washington, D.C., to finance the development of 500 MW of renewable projects in Romania by 2025, aiming to supply 100% locally produced green energy to all end customers.
