Rezolv Energy has awarded contracts to three companies for the construction of the 229 MW St. George solar park in Silistra, northeastern Bulgaria.
The contracts have been awarded to Solarpro, an EPC contractor specializing in renewable energy across Eastern Europe; Bulgaria's Green Solar Energy; and CMC Europe, a clean energy solutions firm and subsidiary of China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC), according to a statement by Rezolv Energy.
CMC Europe and Solarpro will jointly manage the engineering, procurement, and construction aspects, while Green Solar Energy will be responsible for high-voltage work.
Construction of the project is set to begin shortly, with operations expected to commence next year. The solar park will be located on a former airfield spanning 165 hectares and will feature nearly 400,000 solar panels. During the construction phase, up to 200 people will be employed, with an emphasis on hiring from the local community.
