Helexia installs 27,000 PV panels in retail stores

Green Forum
Helexia, a subsidiary of Voltalia and a major European provider for the energy transition, has installed 27,000 photovoltaic panels in 28 retailers Auchan and Leroy Merlin.

The photovoltaic installations cover approximately 20% of the energy consumption of each store, leading to a total production of over 14,000 MWh per year. Additionally, by developing this green energy project, the companies actively contribute to reducing the negative environmental impact, avoiding the production of over 8,000 tons of CO2 annually.

Sixteen Auchan stores and twelve in the Leroy Merlin network in the country are part of a large-scale project to equip them with photovoltaic panels, covering a total area of over 63,000 square meters. On the roof of each store, an average of approximately 1,000 panels with an average power of 400 W per panel are installed, ensuring between 20% and 30% of a store's energy consumption.

Helexia, a key player in the energy transition sector present in Romania since 2022, provides the development, construction, and maintenance of solar roofs. In addition to energy production, the company offers financing solutions, electric mobility, and energy audits to organizations in Romania that aim to decarbonize their operations.
