Kajima Poland completes 11.6-MW solar plant

Green Forum
Kajima Poland, a subsidiary of Japan's Kajima Corporation, has completed an 11.6-MW photovoltaic (PV) plant for NGK Ceramics' Polish unit.

Located in Dąbrowa Górnicza, in the southern Silesian province, the solar installation will produce 11,600 MWh annually, partially powering NGK's production operations.

The project involved installing around 20,000 solar panels across 51,000 square meters, along with two transformer stations and a medium-voltage substation.

Kajima's subsidiary, Hymon, which specializes in industrial PV installations in Poland, contributed to the project by supplying and assembling panels, inverters, DC wiring, and substructures.

Kajima entered the Polish market in 2001 as Kajima Europe, later rebranding as Kajima Poland in 2009. The company, fully owned by Kajima Europe Design and Construction (Holding) Limited, has developed over 100 industrial, logistics, retail, and office facilities.

NGK Ceramics Polska, part of the NGK Group, specializes in advanced materials. It operates two manufacturing plants in Poland, one in Dąbrowa Górnicza and another in Gliwice, Upper Silesia.
