Tupras, Turkey's largest industrial group, has entered the Romanian market by acquiring a 214.26 MW photovoltaic plant from British company Econergy International for an updated total price of €33.2 million.
The acquisition was completed through Enspire Enerji Yatırımları ve Hizmetleri A.Ș., a subsidiary of Entek Elektrik Üretimi A.Ș., which is 99.23% owned by Tupras Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri.
Entek is a joint-stock company based in Turkey. Tupras is Turkey's largest industrial enterprise and the seventh-largest refinery in Europe. It is part of Koç Holding, which also controls the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova and the Arcelik group, known for the Beko brand in Romania (formerly Arctic).
