Electrica informs the shareholders and investors that, on 6 February 2023, has closed the acquisition, from Vlad Mihai Ungureanu and Tudor-Nicolae Ungureanu, of the project company Green Energy Consultancy & Investments SRL, having as main object of activity the production of energy from photovoltaic sources.
Green Energy Consultancy & Investments S.R.L. develops the photovoltaic project “Vulturu”, with a designed installed capacity of 12 MWp DC (peak power at the panels level) and 9.75 MW AC (authorised power for delivery into the grid), located near Vulturu locality, Vrancea county. The project is in the “ready-to-build” phase.
"In line with the strategic objectives assumed at the level of the Electrica Group, today we completed a new stage of the photovoltaic project in the area of Vulturu commune, Vrancea county, which brings us closer to our target in the electricity production area. We believe that this approach is all the more important in the context of the evolution of the energy market, and we thus want to further strengthen our position in the field of electricity production from renewable sources", said Alexandru Chiriță, Electrica general manager.
The transaction in question is in line with the 2019-2023 Electrica Group strategy, which envisages the expansion in the value chain of electricity, especially in the power production from renewable energy sources.
Electrica informed the capital market on 6 July 2022 regarding the signing of the sales and purchase agreement for the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Green Energy Consultancy & Investments SRL company.
The Electrica Group is a key player in the electricity distribution and supply market in Romania, as well as one of the largest players in the energy services sector.
The Electrica Group provides services to approximately 3.85 million users and has a national coverage area - with organization in three areas for the distribution of electricity: Transylvania North, Transylvania South, Muntenia North, and throughout the country for the supply of electricity and for energy maintenance and services.
The Electrica Group distributed, in the first 9 months of 2022, approximately 13.4 TWh (3.2% decrease compared to the same period of 2021).
The operating revenues of the Electrica Group, in the first nine months of 2022, recorded a value of 10.22 billion lei, twice as much compared to the same period of the previous year, and the net profit increased seven and a half times, in the first nine months of 2022, to 534 million lei, compared to the similar period from 2021.
