The company Aerostar Bacău, a manufacturer of components and assemblies for aviation, built a photovoltaic park with a total installed power of 3 MW. The investment amounted to €3 million and was supported by the company's own sources.
"Having a responsibility towards employees and towards the community to build a sustainable future, Aerostar invests for sustainable goals that contribute to reducing the effects of global warming and achieving climate neutralization. Thus, Aerostar has achieved the goal that contributes to increasing sustainability and to reduce electricity consumption through the implementation of the photovoltaic park, in order to benefit from green energy from its own source", according to a report of the company.
The photovoltaic park consists of over 7,000 panels, located on the roof of the buildings owned by Aerostar.
Last year, the company made a net profit of RON 90.2 million (€18.04 million) and a turnover of RON467 million (€93.4 million).
The company made investments of RON26.6 million (€6.3 million) from its own sources last year, compared to RON8.2 million (€1.6 million) in 2021. Aerostar has 1,845 employees.
