The president of the Romanian Football Federation, Răzvan Burleanu, announced that the FRF will purchase photovoltaic panels worth €400,000. These are to be installed at Casa Fotbalului and at the centers in Mogoşoaia and Buftea. This investment will contribute to increasing energy efficiency. FRF wants to contribute to the reduction of direct and indirect carbon emissions at the events we organize by up to 50% by 2030.
"A purchase of €400,000 of photovoltaic panels was approved. We have a sustainability strategy approved since last year, through which we want to contribute to the reduction of direct and indirect carbon emissions at the events we organize by up to 50% by 2030. Thus, today we approved an investment of approximately €400,000 for the installation of a system of photovoltaic panels at the central building of the Federation, as well as at the two sports bases that we manage, in Mogoşoaia and Buftea", declares Răzvan Burleanu.
The president of the FRF wants the institution he leads to obtain an environmental management certificate.
"The next step is to apply for environmental management certification, and after we pass this certification, we and the Portuguese football federation will be the first federations in Europe with such a certificate. This investment will contribute to increasing energy efficiency", says Răzvan Burleanu.
