Cluj's Râşca and Mărişel villages will cover their electricity needs by using solar energy, announces the Cluj County Council. CJ Cluj issued the town planning certificates necessary for the view the establishment of electrical energy production capacities from the solar source, in two new villages in the mountain area of the county, respectively Râşca and Mărişel.
As far as Râşca village is concerned, the project implemented by the local authority provides for the establishment of a photovoltaic park with a capacity of 200 kWp. 364 panels will be installed, with a capacity of 550 W each. The facility will be built on a land area of about 1200 sqm, in the village of Dealu Mare.
Regarding the photovoltaic park that will be built on the territory of Mărişel village, it will have an installed power of 205 kWp and will be composed of 500 solar panels, with a capacity of 410 W each.
"As far as we are concerned, we support by all possible means the municipalities that opt for the benefits of the production and consumption of non-polluting, renewable energy. The reduction of operating expenses with conventional electricity used for street lighting and public objectives will bring significant savings to local budgets. We, therefore, encourage all local authorities to resort to this kind of project", declared the president of the Cluj County Council, Alin Tişe.
Both renewable energy production capacities are intended for their own consumption, street lighting in all the villages belonging to them, and the electrification of public facilities in the two villages.
The projects are to be submitted to the Ministry of Energy in order to obtain non-refundable funds from the "Modernization Fund", a national support program aimed at the modernization and efficiency of energy systems and the improvement of energy efficiency.
