Alexandrion Group to build PV park of over 200 MW in Romania

Alexandrion Group, the largest producer and distributor of spirits and wines in Romania, wants to build a solar park of over 200 MW in Dobrogea. A company indirectly controlled by Nawaf Salameh, the founder of the group, is in the process of obtaining the necessary legal authorizations for the project to build the photovoltaic park. The developer company is Solar Twins SRL, which is 100% owned by Domeniile Salameh SRL. 98% of the capital of this company is owned by N.S.&Sons Global Investment SA, controlled by Nawaf Salameh.

Solar Twins, established in 2021, plans to build a photovoltaic park with a maximum installed power of 220.8 MW, equipped with a battery storage system for the generated electricity. The renewable energy production unit will be located on the outskirts of Crucea commune in Constanța county, on a land of over 293 hectares.

Emanuel Muntmark's Monsson group also has wind and photovoltaic projects in this locality, one of them sold in the meantime to Electrica SA.

The Solar Twins project is currently in the process of obtaining Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ) approval.

Alexandrion Group, established in 1994, has two production units in Romania, in Rădăuți, in Suceava county, as well as in Ploiesti, in Prahova, offices and subsidiaries in Cyprus, Brazil, Greece, and the USA, an international distribution network covering over 50 countries as well as the New Montana Hotel in Sinaia.
