Restart Energy announced the completion of the implementation of a photovoltaic panel system, worth over €300,000 for Maragro SRL, an agri-food company from Timiș County. The project consists of the installation of 880 panels, on an area of 3,700 m2, with a power of 396 kWp. The investment is to be amortized in less than 4 years. The green energy produced covers approximately 35% of the company's internal consumption. In the next 25 years, the solar panels will produce 10,750 MWh, meaning a reduction in energy costs of over €2 million.
It is expected that, in this interval, Maragro will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 3,375 tons and radioactive waste by approximately 32.5 kg.
The panels are located in the perimeter of the Maragro unit in Giera commune, Timiș County.
"Because the price of conventional energy remains unstable, we made the decision to invest in a photovoltaic panel system. In addition to lowering operational costs, such a system also has the advantage of a positive impact on the environment", says Dr. Francesco Del Maschio, administrator of Maragro SRL.
In January 2021, Restart Energy signed a partnership with the American fund Interlink Capital Strategies in Washington DC to finance the development of 500 MW of renewable projects in Romania until 2025, with a view to providing 100% green energy produced locally to all end customers.
"Photovoltaic systems are a convenient and safe solution for operational cost efficiency. Such a system produces green energy over a long period of time with minimal maintenance costs. We are happy to note an important increase in interest in such systems, both from entrepreneurial, small, and medium-sized companies and corporations", says Armand Domuța, General Manager of Restart Energy.
