The natural gas producer Romgaz intends to connect a 40 MW photovoltaic park, located in Mureș County, to the electricity grid, according to an announcement published in the Electronic Public Procurement System. The production site has a maximum total installed power of 40 MW. The company is asking for a solution study for the connection anticipating the possibility of supporting possible work to strengthen the electrical network in the area where the future photovoltaic park will be connected.
Romgaz has published a market consultation notice for "Design Services - Elaboration of a solution study for the connection to the SEN" of the "Photovoltaic Power Plant production site located in the town of Zagăr, Mureș County", according to the notice.
The company is requesting non-binding offers (cost and development time) for design services by August 25.
Romgaz is the country's largest gas producer and is a company owned by the Romanian state. The company also produces electricity, in the old gas plant from Iernut. By the end of next year, the new 430 MW combined cycle gas power plant, also in Iernut, would be put into operation.
