Restart Energy has completed the construction and installation of a photovoltaic energy generation system for the Apidava company, a honey producer, as part of a partnership concluded in 2022. The value of the investment is approximately €180,000. The 252 kWp project was installed on the roof of the building belonging to the beneficiary, located in Blaj, Alba County.

560 photovoltaic modules were installed and, through this system, the Apidava company will provide 25% of the necessary electricity from renewable sources.

"We are glad that there is this alternative to consume green energy from sources given by nature, with lower costs. We chose Restart Energy due to the numerous recommendations received from other beneficiaries and we are very satisfied with the entire collaboration. The offer proposed by Restart Energy means a reduction in operational costs of approximately €50,000 per year and a decrease in CO2 emissions by 79 tons per year," said Victor Mateş, Apidava administrator.

Restart Energy ensured the entire energy efficiency project for the beneficiary company, from consulting and customized design to implementation.

Restart Energy's portfolio of photovoltaic systems currently includes over 110 completed projects, with a total value of €16.6 million. The total production of photovoltaic energy exceeds 23.4 GWh/year, and CO2 emissions are reduced by approximately 7,384 tons every year.

In January 2021, Restart Energy signed a partnership with the American fund Interlink Capital Strategies from Washington DC to finance the development of 500 MW of renewable projects in Romania until 2025, in order to provide 100% green energy produced locally to all end customers.

In February 2021, Restart Energy launched the first issue of convertible green bonds in Romania that were listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

In September 2021, after 4 years of development, Restart Energy launched another unique project worldwide, a platform based on its own technology for blockchain certification of both the carbon footprint and the carbon dioxide avoided to be eliminated in the atmosphere, as well as direct trading between participants of environmental attributes and renewable energy, www.redplatform.com.

Restart Energy is a leading company in energy transition services, with mixed Romanian-American capital, founded in 2015 in Timisoara. In 2022, Restart Energy developed 60 photovoltaic projects, with an installed power of approximately 15 MW, for companies in the industrial, retail, and HoReCa sectors. The company ends 2022 with sales of over €10 million in the photovoltaic installations segment and a turnover of €55 million.

For over 25 years, Apidava has been producing high-quality honey, mainly from the varied flora of the Transylvanian Plateau, but also from other honey-bearing areas in Romania. The company has approximately 50 employees and recorded a turnover of €8.57 million at the end of 2022.
