The Copper Beech Urban Development company has received funding of around RON 74 million (€14.8 million), European money, through PNRR. The Ministry of Energy signed the financing contract in this sense. The total value of the project for which Copper Beech Urban Development received this money amounts to RON 745 million (€149 million). The financing is granted for a 110 MW photovoltaic park to be located in the town of Bucșani, Giurgiu County.
According to the data of Transelectrica, the national energy carrier, the company has already signed a connection contract for a large photovoltaic park, 221 MW, to be built in the town of Bucșani in Giurgiu County, to be connected to the high-voltage grid through -a new station.
The connection contract was concluded on August 26 (after the renewal of the Technical Approval for Reassignment), and the estimated commissioning date is December 31, 2025.
Copper Beech Urban Development is engaged in the production of electricity and is owned by Copper Beech Group of Cyprus (95%) and Dinesh Dhamija (5%). Dinesh Dhamija is a British businessman of Indian origin who was a member of the European Parliament.
The company has a work point in Bucșani, Giurgiu County, where the company owns an arable land of 1.3 million sqm.
A presentation of the company on its website shows that in addition to the land in Bucșani, the company also offers investment opportunities in Ogrezeni, Giurgiu (30 ha), Gorgota, Prahova (41 ha), and Puchenii Mari, Prahova (130 ha).
