Restart Energy has completed the installation of a photovoltaic energy generation system for the Kraftalt company, worth approximately €450,000. The project has a power of 626.4 kWp and was installed on the building belonging to the beneficiary located in the town of Dej, Cluj County. The system includes 1,392 panels, which provide approximately 90% of the company's energy consumption.

"The investment was made in the context of the increase in the price of electricity and the change in the legislation on prosumers. We focused our efforts on integrating modern technologies into the residents of the Industrial Park and granted them benefits by reducing electricity costs, predictability, reducing the footprint of CO2, and the increase in energy performance. From the very beginning of the collaboration with Restart Energy, we were pleasantly impressed by the prompt responses and the attention paid to technical details," says Urian Ioan Vasile, Kraftalt administrator.

The green energy produced means a reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 243 tons per year.

"The independent production of electricity means flexibility, the reduction of the carbon footprint, and the increase of the company's profitability, by making operational costs more efficient. Photovoltaic panels have a lifespan of approximately 30 years, and maintenance costs are minimal", said Armand Domuţa, general restart energy manager.

In 2023, Restart Energy implemented 42 photovoltaic projects, with an installed capacity of 11,327 MW.

In January 2021, Restart Energy signed a partnership with the American fund Interlink Capital Strategies from Washington DC to finance the development of 500 MW of renewable projects in Romania until 2025, in order to provide 100% green energy produced locally to all end customers.

In February 2021, Restart Energy launched the first issue of convertible green bonds in Romania that were listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, with the code REO26.

In September 2021, after 4 years of development, Restart Energy launched another unique project worldwide, a platform based on its technology for blockchain certification of both the carbon footprint and the carbon dioxide avoided to be eliminated in the atmosphere, as well as direct trading between participants of environmental attributes and renewable energy, www.redplatform.com.

Every time someone plants a tree, cleans a beach, consumes green energy, or takes any action to protect the environment, they can register this action on the RED platform. After the data is validated in the platform, the equivalent CO2 footprint is calculated, and tokenized carbon credits are issued that can be used to buy green energy or get the equivalent in money. At the same time, a company can obtain carbon credits in the form of green tokens for their customers, through unique QR codes printed on products or purchase receipts.

Restart Energy is a leading company in energy transition services, with mixed Romanian-American capital, established in 2015 in Timisoara. In 2022, Restart Energy has developed 60 photovoltaic projects, with an installed power of approximately 15 MW, for companies in the industrial, retail, and HoReCa sectors. The company ended 2022 with sales of over €10 million in the photovoltaic installations segment and a turnover of €65 million.

The Kraftalt company has been active in the field of construction since 2014 and ended 2022 with a turnover of RON 17.74 million (€3.54 million).
