The company Teiuș.Solar, part of the Danish group Eurowind Energy, developer and operator of wind, solar, and hybrid projects, announced the launch of the project Teiuș Photovoltaic Park - Maximum Installed Capacity 60.2 MW, implemented in the town of Teiuș, Alba county. The total value of the project is €47 million euro (€54 million euro with VAT).
The park will have a maximum installed capacity of 60.2 MW. At the same time, the Teiuș photovoltaic park aims not only to produce 103,592 MWh per year but also to significantly reduce carbon emissions by 37,125 tonnes per year.
"The approval of the Teiuș Photovoltaic Park represents an important moment in our strategy for sustainable development and the fight against climate change, thus contributing to a cleaner environment for future generations. We are proud to be able to contribute to Romania's energy transition and to improve the quality of the environment through this innovative project", said Adrian Dobre, Country Manager Romania, Eurowind Energy.
The project has received state aid of €15 million within the National Recovery and Resilience Programme, Component 6 Energy, Investment Measure I.1 Supporting investments in new electricity generation capacity from renewable wind and solar energy sources.
The project started on 1 July 2022 and is scheduled to end on 30 June 2024, marking an important milestone in the timeline of green energy projects in Romania.
