BayWa r.e. acquires 46 MWp White Gate solar park in Romania

BayWa r.e., the Romanian unit of a prominent German renewable energy developer, has acquired a photovoltaic (PV) plant situated in Constanta County in southeastern Romania, according to law firm Filip & Company, which facilitated the transaction. 

"In the context of climate change, the development of renewable energy projects is essential. Romania has enormous potential in solar energy and it is crucial to harness these resources to ensure a cleaner and more sustainable future. The acquisition of this photovoltaic park by BayWa r.e. marks an important step in strengthening Romania's renewable energy infrastructure," stated Ioana Roman, Partner and Head of the Real Estate Department at Filip & Company.

The solar park, named White Gate, boasts an installed capacity of approximately 46 MWp. The transaction amount was not disclosed.
