PPC acquires wind and solar parks and 1.7 GW in Greece

Public Power Corp (PPC Group) has reached an agreement with the Copelouzos and Samaras groups to acquire their operating wind and photovoltaic assets, totaling 66.6 MW, along with a renewable project pipeline of 1.7 GW, which they will develop jointly. 

Additionally, PPC is increasing its majority stake in an 840 MW gas power project by purchasing Copelouzos' 20% share.

The agreement establishes a collaboration framework for the acquisition of the renewable assets, with the two groups continuing to participate in the portfolio's development. Separately, PPC is acquiring Copelouzos' stake in Ilektroparagogi Alexandroupolis, which is focused on building a combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant. PPC currently holds 51% in this project, with DEPA Supply owning the remaining 29%.

The operational 66.6 MW includes two wind parks in Evia and Lakonia, with a total capacity of 43.3 MW, and photovoltaic facilities totaling 23.3 MW.
