Polenergia secures renewable energy for Sofitel hotels

Polish energy company Polenergia has signed a corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA) to supply renewable energy to Hotel Warszawianka Congress Centre and Sofitel Grand Sopot.

The cPPA, valid until the end of 2028, guarantees the provision of 6,100 MWh annually, covering the full energy needs of both facilities. The green energy will be sourced from the 121-MW Debsk wind farm and the 45.2-MWp Strzelino solar farm, according to the company's press release. Hotel Warszawianka, located on the Zegrze Reservoir north of Warsaw, serves as a leisure and conference venue. According to a press release on Thursday, the agreement, valid until the end of 2028, guarantees an annual supply of 6,100 MWh—enough to cover 100% of both facilities' energy needs. The green energy will be sourced from the 121-MW Debsk wind farm and the 45.2-MWp Strzelino photovoltaic farm.

Hotel Warszawianka, located on the Zegrze Reservoir north of Warsaw, functions as a leisure and conference facility, while Sofitel Grand Sopot, on the Baltic coast, has been synonymous with seaside luxury and has hosted the global elite in business, culture, and art for over a century.
