European Energy has finalized two agreements for the sale of a portfolio comprising six operational wind farms in Poland to Enea.

All six wind farms are situated in the West Pomeranian region and were commissioned between 2021 and 2023. They have a combined installed capacity of 83.5 MW and utilize turbines from Siemens Gamesa, GE, and Nordex.

Olga Sypula, European Energy's Country Manager for Poland, remarked: “These agreements reflect close cooperation and strategic planning across our operations in Poland. Our presence here extends well beyond project development—we are committed to creating a portfolio that not only generates renewable power but also brings lasting value to local communities, investors, the national grid, and energy security.”

Throughout its operations in Poland, European Energy has maintained a strong focus on local engagement. In the West Pomeranian region, the company has backed various community initiatives, including infrastructure improvements, support for cultural and educational programs, and contributions to public services such as fire departments and healthcare providers.

European Energy has been active in Poland since 2006 and is currently scaling up its operations through utility-scale solar PV, onshore wind, and battery storage projects. The company is also exploring investments in green hydrogen and green fuels production, supporting Poland's broader energy transition efforts.

Jens-Peter Zink, Deputy CEO of European Energy, stated: “These transactions align with our strategic goals and enable us to reinvest in new greenfield developments in Poland. This remains a key market for us, and we are expanding our pipeline in wind, solar, and Power-to-X solutions—including a growing battery storage segment. Demand for renewable energy in Poland is rising, and we see significant opportunities in grid enhancements, hybrid projects, and Power-to-X technologies.”

European Energy continues to actively develop renewable energy projects across Poland, with a development pipeline now exceeding 5 GW.
