The mayor of Bucharest, Nicusor Dan, announces that he will build an integrated waste collection center, through voluntary contribution. Such a center constitutes an efficient management solution for all types of waste, says the mayor. At this collection center, which will be established on Rudeni - Chitila Street 22-28, people from Bucharest and Ilfov County will be able to bring bulky waste, including used tires or furniture, electrical and electronic equipment waste, waste from construction and demolition, sanitary items, packaging from paints, disinfectants, spray tubes, textile materials, plastic materials as well as recyclable waste – paper, cardboard, PETs.
"As the president of the Intercommunity Development Association for the Integrated Management of Municipal Waste in the City of Bucharest (ADIGIDMB), I signed with the Ministry of the Environment, the financing contract for the establishment and endowment of the integrated collection center by voluntary contribution Bucharest-North and the affiliated region Ilfov ", announced the mayor Nicusor Dan.
The waste will be received free of charge, within the limits of reasonable quantities, which will be established later, by a regulation.
The project, which will be completed by the end of 2024, is financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the amount of non-refundable financing being RON27.45 million, the equivalent of €5.58 million, excluding VAT.
The executive director of ADIGIDMB, Dragoș Iordache, will be responsible for the realization of this project.
