12 large waste storage platforms to be built in Bihor County

12 more large waste storage platforms have been built in 12 localities in Bihor County. The Bihor County Council held the reception after the works. Within the same project, 4 other platforms were built, in Alesd, Beiuș, Marghita, and Salonta. The total value of the 16 centers is RON 37.86 million (€7.57 million), of which the value of co-financing with European funds is RON 21.31 million (€ 4.26 million).

The selective waste collection centers were located in the following localities: Ceica (area: 4,118 sqm), Popești (5,000 sqm), Sânnicolau Român (5,000 sqm), Palota, Sântandrei commune (5,166 sqm), Tinca (26,446 sqm), Valea lui Mihai (5,017 sqm), Tileagd (5,000 sqm), Săcueni (5,000 sqm), Oșorhei (9,650 sqm), Bratca (5,000 sqm), Vadu Crișului (5,000 sqm), Sânmartin (8,737 sqm).

In each center, there are 12 large containers for the separate collection of the following types of waste: textile materials, reusable goods, metal, household items, glass, electrical/household appliances/electronics, plastic materials, paper/cardboard, wood/ furniture, plants, construction debris, and waste that has a dangerous content.

Another 16 centers are in the stage of evaluating the bids submitted in the auction. The centers will serve both the administrative-territorial unit where they are located, as well as those in the vicinity. CAVs in the auction: Aușeu, Avram Iancu, Balc, Borș, Buntești, Chișlaz, Cociuba Mare, Copăcel, Drăgănești, Lazuri de Beiuș, Lăzăreni, Nojorid, Paleu, Spinuș, Ștei and Vașcau.

They are part of the network of 32 voluntary waste collection centers (CAV) that will operate in Bihor County, a project carried out by the Bihor County Council and the Intercommunity Development Association (A.D.I.) Ecolect Group, in partnership with the town halls.

The financing is provided by European funds, through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program, and is part of the Integrated Waste Management System (S.M.I.D.) in Bihor County.
