The National Forest Administration - Romsilva will plant approximately 26 million forest seedlings and will regenerate 12,087 hectares in the state-owned forest fund during the two reforestation campaigns, in spring and autumn.

8,102 hectares will be naturally regenerated, while another 3,985 hectares will be artificially regenerated through reforestation works.

Additionally, current completion works will be carried out in plantations on 2,381 hectares, as well as restoration works for plantations affected by calamities on another 726 hectares in the state forest fund.

The budget allocated this year for carrying out all reforestation works, plantation completions, restoration of calamity-affected plantations, maintenance of plantations, and naturally regenerated areas is approximately €59.5 million.

In the last five years, the National Forest Administration - Romsilva has regenerated 72,330 hectares of state-owned forest land, of which 48,604 hectares through natural regeneration and 23,726 hectares through reforestation works. Approximately 132 million forest seedlings produced in their forest nurseries were used for all current regeneration works, reforestation, restoration, and completions.

The National Forest Administration - Romsilva manages 3.13 million hectares of state-owned forests, approximately 48% of the country's forests, and provides forestry services for approximately one million hectares of forests owned under other forms of ownership. All state-owned forests hold forest management certification to international standards.

Additionally, the National Forest Administration - Romsilva manages 22 national and natural parks, as well as 12 state stud farms.
