Romanian Government launches national tour to promote circular economy

Green Forum
The Prime Minister's Chancellery announced the start of a national tour of regional conferences within the Circulario accelerator, organized in partnership with PIVOT-C, a strategic effort to promote and implement the circular economy in Romania.

The opening event took place in Brasov, bringing together key stakeholders for the circular ecosystem from Brasov, Mures, Covasna, and Harghita counties.

This initiative aims to bring together public administrations, both at central and local levels, industries, startups, the academic and research environment, as well as representatives from the private sector and financing and lending institutions, in a common mission to identify and implement sustainable solutions tailored to Romania's needs.

Romania demonstrates its strong commitment to adopting the principles of the circular economy, a commitment materialized through the development and implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan, launched in 2023.

This plan includes 52 strategic actions and is supported by a solid governance framework, highlighting the importance of transitioning to sustainable practices and aligning with the European Union's objectives for a green and efficient economy.

The Circulario national tour will continue with events in nine other cities in Romania, with each conference being a unique opportunity to strengthen collaboration and promote innovative circular economy solutions at both the local and national levels.
