In the context of the floods that have impacted Romania, the Raiffeisen Bank team has extended its support to civil society. The teams mobilized quickly to bring hope back to families in Galați County. We are financially contributing to the rehabilitation of schools affected by floods through the Galați Community Foundation's Emergency Fund.

Our goal isto ensure that students can return to their classrooms as soon as possible, in optimal conditions.

According to data from the Galați Community Foundation, severe floods in the county caused significant damage in several localities, with 41 school buildings being among the most affected.

“In the face of these natural disasters, we stand in solidarity and strive to help. Through Raiffeisen Bank Romania's contribution, we aim to assist people affected by the floods, ensuring a swift return to normal life. Many children are at risk of losing access to education due to the lack of resources needed to resume school activities. That's why, with the support of our partner, the Galați Community Foundation, we are helping reopen schools so that all children in the county can return to classes. We believe that what unites us, especially in difficult situations, is the desire to create positive change, to help, and to improve the world around us. We cannot succeed alone, which is why we applaud everyone who has already gotten involved and invite as many as possible to contribute,” said Laura Mihăilă, Director of Marketing, Communication & CX.

The Galați Community Foundation is focusing its efforts on supporting educational institutions to provide students with optimal conditions to resume classes, including the purchase of necessary teaching materials to continue courses.
