Strabag announced its initiative to achieve climate neutrality by 2040 throughout the entire value chain, embracing digital, innovative, and eco-friendly solutions.
The company celebrated 30 years of operations in Romania, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability through the "Work on Progress" campaign.
With the construction industry responsible for around 38% of global CO2 emissions, Strabag has implemented a decarbonization strategy. This approach involves using sustainable materials, optimizing and recycling resources, and minimizing waste to reduce environmental impacts.
Currently, the company is investing in over 250 innovation projects and spearheading 400 sustainability initiatives.
Having operated in Romania for three decades, employing around 2,000 people, Strabag has contributed to the country's infrastructure modernization and reshaped urban landscapes.
Strabag's portfolio includes large-scale infrastructure projects such as sections of the A1 and A3 highways, express roads, the Oradea Ring Road, as well as railway and airport projects, civil construction, renewable energy developments, and water treatment plants.
