CTP Romania and the Giurgiu Blood Transfusion Centre organize the first blood donation campaign in 2023. CTP, the largest owner and developer of industrial and logistics spaces in Romania, launched in 2022 the first recurring blood donation campaign from an industrial park. Last week took place the third action carried out in partnership with the Giurgiu Blood Transfusion Center, in which CTPark Bucharest West employees and partners, as well as members of the local community, participated, this being the first blood donation campaign since 2023.

CTP made available the medical office in the industrial park and offered all donors water, juices and fresh fruit.

"Every year, more than 1 million patients need blood, and every day there are numerous operations requiring transfusions. Blood is always needed. That's why last year we set out to support the efforts of the Giurgiu Transfusion Centre with a recurring donation campaign, now in its third edition. In 2023, every month, the medical office in CTPark Bucharest West will be open to both our employees and those in the local community who wish to donate blood, because we know that proximity and access to a donation center are important. Moreover, we believe that such programs strengthen community solidarity, which is so much needed in these times", said Claudia Lăzărică, coordinator of this project at CTP Romania.

The blood drive is part of a larger project run by CTP to support the local community. The developer constantly organises first aid courses for residents together with the Romanian Red Cross and supports the actions of the Bolintin town hospital for technical improvements. In addition, it supports education, offering prizes and scholarships to eminent children from Bolintin Deal and those in dual education, as well as job opportunities for students from technical and industrial high schools in the community.

"Every donor and every campaign we run with our partners means lives saved and patients who can receive care when they need it. We need blood every day and every month, and any support is welcome, especially when it brings communities together, as is the case here in Giurgiu", added Nicoleta Căpran from the Giurgiu Blood Transfusion Centre.

"I have friends who have needed blood and I know how important it is to have the right blood type available when you need it. Donating doesn't hurt, it's not complicated and I've long wished I could do it more often, at least two or three times a year, but I couldn't always get to the centre in Giurgiu or the one in Bucharest and often put it off. Now it is much easier for me, because I can donate right here in the park, at work and I don't have to make an extra trip and I also have the chance to convince my colleagues to come with me when I donate, said Ionuț Anghel, CTP employee.

CTPark Bucharest West aims to become the largest industrial park in Europe and more than 2,000 employees. The park benefits from a multifunctional and sustainable space called Clubhaus, which can be used both as a platform for educational events, with a multifunctional amphitheatre where clients can hold workshops and training, and as a meeting or relaxation space.

CTP owns in Romania a total area of more than 2.3 million sqm of class A warehouses in 15 cities: Bucharest, Arad, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Deva, Oradea, Pitesti, Sibiu, Timisoara, Turda, Targu Mures, Caransebes, Ineu and Salonta.

CTP is the largest owner, developer and manager of logistics and industrial real estate in Continental Europe by gross leasable area, owning over 9.9 million sqm of space in ten countries.
