Metrorex, a company subordinate to the Ministry of Transport, requests electricity in 37 consumption points of the company, and "the amount of electricity for 12 months is included in the range: 180,000 MWh, representing the minimum amount and 196,000 MWh, representing the maximum amount", according to the announcement in the electronic public procurement system. The value estimated by the company for this contract is between 159.4 and RON 173.6 million (€31.88-34.72 million).

According to the law, the company benefits from the price cap, at RON 1/kWh with all taxes and tariffs included for 85% of consumption and RON 1.3 /kWh for the remaining 15% of consumption.

95% of the maximum score of 100 points is awarded for what the financial component means, namely the price of the offer. The remaining 5% is related to the share of electricity from renewable sources in the total amount to be supplied. The score here varies from 1 for energy from renewable sources between 1 and 3% of the energy to be delivered and a maximum of 5 points if the percentage of renewable energy in the total is over 10%.

Initially, the bidder will submit a declaration on its own responsibility regarding the percentage of renewable energy in the energy supplied to Metrorex but, throughout the course of the contract, it must present guarantees of origin for the renewable energy supplied.
