Mehedinti County wants to buy 30 electric minibusses to transport students. The project received funding, announced the Mehedinti County Council. The Ministry of Education has published the intermediate list of projects admitted to be financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for the purchase of school minibusses.
Mehedinți County is on the list of selected counties to receive funding in the amount of RON35.91 million (€7.18 million), of which RON30.17 million (€6 million) from PNRR, to which is added VAT, eligible from the state budget, RON5.73 million (€1.14 million). And the amount of RON13,863 (€2,772) is the contribution of the Mehedinți County Council.
"We propose to purchase over 30 minibuses that will reach town halls in rural areas, for the transport of students from areas far from the school. In this way, we want to increase the conditions for children's access to educational institutions and reduce the risk of school dropout! We have concluded protocols with the town halls, so we will start the procurement procedure shortly after we sign the financing contract", said the president of the Mehedinți County Council, Aladin Georgescu.
