Doraly Expo Market, located in Afumati, Ilfov county, implements ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) norms by installing photovoltaic plants, charging stations for electric cars and upgrading to LEDs in the case of all lighting fixtures. Through investments worth €2.1 million, Doraly reduces its carbon footprint, reduces dependence on conventional energy sources, and improves the company's performance by significantly reducing energy costs for the consumption of the commercial park. The photovoltaic panels will produce approximately 2,700 MWh of green energy annually, representing approximately 50% of the energy consumed. The company eliminates 800 tons of CO2/per year through the investments made.
The traditional lighting fixtures were replaced with LEDs, for the entire surface, an ecological decision, which reduces maintenance costs, but also energy consumption by 75%, bringing benefits to customers as well, through better, brighter lighting and a more pleasant work environment.
The installation of charging stations for electric cars helps create a sustainable environment, and facilitates access to charging electric vehicles within the commercial park, contributing to increasing their popularity and accessibility, the company states.
Doraly eliminates 800 tons of CO2/year through the investments made and aims to continue investing in solutions to reduce consumption, but also in the production of green energy to reduce the carbon footprint almost to zero.
