AQUILA, a leading distributor in Romania's fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector with over 30 years of experience, announced significant progress in 2024 under its 2022–2026 Sustainability Strategy.
Aquila's total carbon footprint decreased by 6.5%, amounting to 36,837 metric tons of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e), on location-based calculation, according to the sustainability report.
Aquila has set itself the target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 10% by 2026. The company also applies systems to improve the electricity consumption of warehouses.

The VPPA will see Etem Gestamp buy electricity from Rezolv Energy's 461MW 'Vifor' wind farm, which is about to come onstream in Buzău County, Romania.
