Enel Green Power România, Enel Group's renewable energy business line in Romania, has commissioned Lumina photovoltaic park in Călugăreni, Giurgiu County, and completed its takeover from Mytilineos.
Enel Green Power has started work on the construction of a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of approximately 170 MW, which will be the largest solar plant in Italy. The installation will be based on bifacial photovoltaic modules - with a technology that allows the absorption of solar energy on both the front and back surfaces. This agrivoltaic solar farm will be built in an area owned by a local company that will be working with Enel Green Power on integrating agricultural activities at the plant.

Etem Gestamp, the Sofia-based joint venture between Viohalco Group and Spain's Gestamp Group focused on aluminium extrusion and processing for the automotive industry, and Rezolv Energy, the Actis-backed independent power producer, have signed a 10-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) in Bulgaria. The VPPA will see Etem Gestamp buy electricity from Rezolv Energy's 461MW 'Vifor' wind farm, which is about to come onstream in Buzău County, Romania. It is the first cross-border wind PPA that has been publicly announced in Bulgaria.
