Town in Buzau County receives €10,000 fine for pollution

The Smeeni town hall in Buzău county was fined RON50,000 (€10,000) by the commissioners of the Environmental Guard, due to the randomly thrown waste. The same situation had been found at the last inspection, the remedial measures not having been carried out.

Town in Braila County fined for illegally stored household waste

Tichilesti City Hall in Brăila County was fined RON 20,000 (€ 4,000) by the Environmental Guard, after the commissioners discovered household waste illegally stored on an area of over 1,500 sqm. Also, a van transporting waste resulting from the dismantling of end-of-life vehicles was fined RON 15,000 (€ 3,000).
