Carmistin Group opens poultry farm in Olt County with PV panels

The Carmistin Group invested €8 million in a poultry farm in the town of Potcoava in Olt County. It is the first farm of the Group to benefit from a power plant that uses biomass to heat the halls. A locality in Cluj County consumes only renewable energy

BRD grants sustainable financing of €220 million in 2022

BRD – Groupe Société Générale granted sustainable financing of RON1.1 billion (€220 million) last year. BRD launched 2022 its first green lending products for individuals. Also, the BRD Group reduced its energy consumption by 12.5% compared to the previous year and the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from operations.

Two Romanian businessmen are investing in a start-up that reduces energy consumption for companies and optimizes investment costs for photovoltaic parks. Cristina Bâtlan and Roberto Bâtlan, the founders of the Musette footwear and accessories brand, invest in the startup Energoloop, founded in partnership with Eduard Fariseu, which operates in the form of a photovoltaic hub.

About 50,000 electric scooters are sold annually in Romania

Romania reduces fossil gas consumption by 25%

Between August 2022 and January 2023, Romania is managing to reduce fossil gas consumption by approximately 25%, according to a report published by CEE Bankwatch Network. According to the report, Romania allocates four times more European funds for fossil gas, despite the climate objectives. Between 2014 and 2020, fossil gas-based projects in Romania and Poland benefited from €230 million and €1.3 billion respectively from European funds.

Timișoara City Hall is paying its obligations for the environment
