E.ON Romania installs 655 kWp solar plant for Continental

E.ON Energie Romania announced the completion of a 655 kWp photovoltaic (PV) plant for the Romanian branch of German automotive parts supplier Continental Automotive.

The newly installed PV system consists of 1,440 solar panels placed on the rooftop of Continental Automotive's production facilities in Timisoara, in western Romania. According to a press release issued by E.ON Energie Romania, the project's cost has not been disclosed.

The solar installation is expected to generate approximately 715 MWh of electricity per year, contributing to an annual reduction of around 152 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

E.ON has delivered a comprehensive energy efficiency investment solution for Continental Automotive Romania, covering consultancy, customized design, implementation, and ten-year financing, along with post-installation services. Additionally, E.ON will provide maintenance for the entire photovoltaic system under a full-service contract.
