"The energy potential and the opening to the Black Sea make Romania the most suitable European partner in the race to achieve energy security. In the last 2 years, Romania has proven that it is one of the main member states of the European Union, capable of projecting energy security beyond its borders. We have consolidated our position at the European level, especially in the context of the development of projects in the Black Sea", said the state secretary during an event.
The year 2022 practically marked the second wave of renewables in Romania, the profile market being effervescent again, with transactions and investors who showed their appetite, again, for the installation of new production capacities, he adds.
The level of funds that the Ministry of Energy makes available to investors is unprecedented.
"Regarding the Neptun Deep project, a project of strategic importance, my wish is for it to become operational as soon as possible. I trust that the two companies involved in this project, Romgaz and Omv Petrom, will make every effort to start the production of natural gas from this field. All these measures that we have in mind at the Ministry of Energy have precisely the aim of strengthening the national energy system, very important to mention, the aim being to ensure domestic or non-domestic consumers the necessary level of energy, as well as energy at an affordable price, in such a way that the Romanian economy remains competitive on the regional markets", he added.
