Visual Fan completes 1.3 MW photovoltaic project in Romania

Green Forum
Visual Fan announced the completion of a new photovoltaic project. This consisted of designing and implementing five photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 1.3 MW, which will generate green energy for self-consumption and will enhance the beneficiary company, SECOM S.A. from Drobeta Turnu Severin.

The new photovoltaic plants have been installed on the ground and rooftops, at four locations of the SECOM S.A. company, namely at the raw water intake station, the drinking water supply station, the wastewater treatment station, and the administrative building. These include 2,852 Allview photovoltaic panels and Growatt three-phase inverters. The support structures for ground-mounted installation, as well as those for rooftops, have been designed to withstand unfavorable weather conditions, ensuring long-term energy performance.

The project illustrates the overall objective of reducing conventional energy consumption, and implicitly, responsible management of CO2 consumption, with a focus on sustainability. The project will contribute to reducing primary energy consumption by 111.7 thousand tons of oil equivalent per year, and carbon emissions by 16,900 tons over the next 20 years, and will generate savings of over 4,000,000 euros in the same period.

Additionally, the project reflects a further step towards achieving the European Union's objectives regarding renewable energy production and supporting sustainable development.

Visual Fan aims to contract over 80 MW of solar energy projects by the end of 2024.
