Iberdrola to sell Romanian wind division to Premier Energy

Green Forum
Iberdrola, the Spanish power utility, announced the sale of its Romanian wind subsidiary, Eolica Dobrogea One, to power and gas distributor Premier Energy Group for €88 million.

Eolica Dobrogea One possesses wind power assets with a total installed capacity of 80 MW, as stated in a press release by Iberdrola.

With regulatory authorities in Romania approving the transaction, Iberdrola will divest all its assets in the country. This move aligns with Iberdrola's broader strategy aiming for an asset rotation worth €12.2 billion from 2024 to 2026, according to the statement.

Premier Energy, a subsidiary of Czech investment firm Emma Capital, completed the acquisition of Eolica through its Romanian subsidiary, Premier Renewable Invest Co.
