Iași Airport to build €3 million PV for energy independence

A new photovoltaic park is set to be constructed at Iași Airport, Romania, spanning five hectares. The project represents a €3 million investment and aims to achieve energy independence for the airport.

This new installation will be five times larger than the current one and is expected to make the airport energy self-sufficient.

The project, is valued at €3 million, excluding VAT, with €1 million coming from non-reimbursable funding through the Modernization Fund. The remaining co-financing and ineligible costs will be covered by the airport's own resources.
