Green Forum
The Galați City Hall announced that the funding contract for setting up the first photovoltaic park with European funds has been signed, within the framework of the Modernization Fund managed by the Ministry of Energy.

The value of this project is over €1.2 million. The photovoltaic park will have a total installed capacity of 1.05 MW, will be located on buildings M1-M14 in the Micro 17 neighborhood, and will consist of the following elements: 2,100 photovoltaic modules of 550Wp, 14 three-phase unidirectional power inverters with a nominal alternating current power of 75 kVA, galvanized steel and aluminum mounting structure for rooftop photovoltaic modules, electrical panels, electrical cable networks for the user installation, grounding installation, low current electrical installation, modular overvoltage protection devices, NPM and PSI equipment.

The park will primarily contribute to increasing electricity production from renewable sources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and lowering costs. The project's total value is 6,732,487.30 lei including VAT. The implementation period is up to 31 months, by the financing request and financing contract.

The Galați City Hall has also submitted a project for setting up another photovoltaic park in the Tirighina area, with the signing of this funding contract expected shortly. This park will have an installed capacity of 4 MW.
