Nala Renewables starts building green breeze wind farm

Green Forum
Nala Renewables has initiated construction on its Green Breeze wind farm in eastern Romania. This 99.2 MW project, powered by 16 Vestas V162-6.2 MW turbines, is set to significantly contribute to the country's renewable energy landscape.

The wind farm, primarily located in Cuca commune, Galați county, is expected to generate 312 GWh of clean energy annually, equivalent to the electricity needs of 51,000 Romanian households. This will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 150,000 tons per year.

Nala Renewables' Chief Operating Officer, Remy Verot, expressed enthusiasm about the project, highlighting Romania's favorable renewable energy market and the company's commitment to the region.

The project's success is attributed to strong partnerships with local authorities and developers like OX2, which will oversee technical and commercial management. A 12-year power purchase agreement with a multinational corporation further solidifies the project's viability.

As construction progresses, Nala Renewables anticipates the initial commissioning of turbines in the coming year, marking a significant milestone for both the company and Romania's renewable energy sector.
