This marks its second wind project in the Adriatic country and its third renewable initiative there.
The Ljubovo onshore wind farm, located in Lika-Senj County in central Croatia, is expected to generate around 349 GWh annually, according to DRI's press release.
Construction of the wind farm is slated to begin in 2027. DRI secured preliminary access to the national grid in November and submitted a request for approval from the economy ministry at the end of last year.
In addition to Ljubovo, DRI is working on two other projects in Croatia: the Brda Umovi wind farm and the Vedrine solar park, both located in Split-Dalmatia County.
The Brda Umovi wind farm will be developed in two phases, with the first phase delivering 127.5 MW and the second adding another 28.8 MW, with grid connection expected in the second half of 2026.
The Vedrine solar park, with a planned capacity of 60 MWp, is expected to start supplying power to local communities in the second half of 2027. Both projects will be connected to a new 10 km 110 kV line, which DRI will build, linking them to a 400/110 kV substation.
