Volta Polska to develop 40 MW solar farm in Łobżeni

Green Forum
Volta Polska, a renewable energy producer, announced that the municipal council of Łobżenica, located in Poland's Wielkopolskie province, has approved an Integrated Investment Plan (IIP) for the development of photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 40 MWp.

The IIP framework is designed to foster collaboration between local governments and private investors, while also reducing the burden on municipalities to fund spatial planning. Volta highlighted that the IIP also requires complementary community-focused projects, offering additional local benefits.

The company said the plan's approval followed a multi-phase planning process involving landowners, local officials, and project partners. A key step was the signing of an urban planning agreement between Volta and the mayor of Łobżenica. The IIP will span 54 hectares. Volta Polska also announced continued cooperation with the municipality, including work on Poland's first IIP dedicated to a wind farm.
