The Galati County Council is building a waste transfer station in Tecuci, which will serve the northwestern part of the county, as well as a plant waste composting station. Just a few kilometers away is the vegetable pool from Matca. Thus, Tecuci's investments in a cleaner and less polluting environment amount to over RON 56 million (€11 million).

"After we succeeded in greening and closing the non-compliant waste deposit in Rates, in Tecuci we are carrying out a new major environmental investment, also with the help of European funds attracted by the Galaţi County Council", says Costel Fotea, president of the Galați County Council.

In addition to the two stations, technical spaces, an administrative building, a collection basin for leachate, and a large capacity tank were also set up.

As for the construction part, the works are almost 90% completed, and the necessary equipment and equipment will be brought.

The value of Tecuci's environmental investments is over RON 56 million (€11 million), of which approximately RON 26 million (€5.2 million) for the greening of the Rateș warehouse and over RON 30 million (€6 million) for waste transfer and composting stations.
