The mayor of Brasov, Allen Coliban, has announced that he has signed the works contract for the largest garage for electric buses. The garage will have 157 spaces, on an area of 30,000 sqm. The deadline is 12 months, and the total value of the works is over RON 132 million (€26.4 million).

"Brasov: The biggest garage for electric buses. 157 seats. 30,000 sqm. We signed the contract for the works on the new RAT garage for electric buses. In addition to greening the fleet, it is important to have suitable spaces where we can park our electric buses", the mayor of Braşov wrote on Facebook.

Allen Coliban states that this infrastructure will ensure the protection of buses in the RATBV park, including during the cold season.

"Every parking space will have a charging station. We will produce part of the necessary energy with the help of photovoltaic panels. It is one of the most important elements of the transport system", the mayor said.

According to him, the garage will allow more than 150 electric buses to park, be charged, and maintain, so that they will be able to operate at the highest parameters.

The works will be carried out by the association between Eren Cons SRL, association leader, and IMSAT Cuadripol SA, associate, with third supporters: BOG ART SRL, Logosol SRL, and Cuadripol SA.
