Alstom presents the train that will be able to run on non-electrified sections with energy stored in batteries. Alstom and Irish Rail presented a life-size model of the X'Trapolis train, which will be able to run on non-electrified sections of the railway with the help of energy stored in batteries. Alstom's X'trapolis suburban modular train has been sold in over 6,000 units worldwide. Modern fleet of trains will increase the transport capacity and the pace of decarbonization will accelerate.

Bucharest City Hall buys 7 electric minibusses for RON 10.25 million (€2 million). The purpose of the purchase is to ensure an accessible, efficient, and ecological public passenger transport service and to improve the conditions for the use of non-motorized modes of transport in the administrative area of the established partnership, to reduce CO2 equivalent emissions from transport.

An association of companies from Turkey is the winner of the tender for the realization of Metro Line 1, which will cost €1.8 billion. A cycling route that starts from the Apuseni Mountains will connect the Romanian counties of Bihor, Alba and Cluj via bike paths. In this way, 227 kilometers of bicycle paths will be arranged. The estimated total value of the project is €18.7 million, financed by European funds.
