CIEH Soda Romania has started the production of solar energy, as a result of an investment of RON1.7 million (€340,000) in a photovoltaic park. The investment marks a new activity in the development process of the company, which currently produces liquid silicates, an important raw material for the tire industry, the detergent industry, and the paper industry, in the production of chemicals used in construction and for materials used in welding.

Restart Energy announced the completion of the implementation of a photovoltaic panel system worth €160,000 for the Geneza Comimpex company. The project consisted of the installation of 428 panels at the Geneza Supermarket in Târgu-Neamț, Neamț county, on an area of 1,200 sqm, with a power of 194.4 kWp.

The Carmistin Group invested €8 million in a poultry farm in the town of Potcoava in Olt County. It is the first farm of the Group to benefit from a power plant that uses biomass to heat the halls. DTEK Renewables International, part of the DTEK group founded in 2005 by billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, acquires a greenfield project from the Romanian company Finas Invest SRL, which is based in Cluj-Napoca and operates on the renewable energy market. A photovoltaic park with an installed power greater than that of a Cernavodă nuclear reactor will be built in Romania, which reflects the appetite of investors to become players in this market again.
