The value of the green technology market was $1.5 trillion in 2020 and is expected to reach over $9.5 trillion by 2030, according to a report by UNCTAD - the United Nations Trade and Development Agency. UNCTAD's Technology and Innovation Report 2023 warns that economic inequalities risk widening as developed countries reap the most benefits from green technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and electric vehicles.

OTP Leasing supports green mobility by financing the electric vehicle fleet of e-Mobility Rentals. This financing marks the beginning of a partnership that will support the purchase of 400 electric vehicles for the company's fleet by the end of 2024. e-Mobility Rentals green vehicles are currently used by companies in the food delivery industry and hypermarket chains.

The report of the Romanian Automobile Manufacturers and Importers Association on car registrations in the first three months of 2023 shows strong new growth in the 100% electric car segment. In the first three months of the year, 36,592 new cars were registered, of which 3,130 are fully electric, 1,269 were plug-in hybrids, 2,981 were "full hybrids", 24,539 powered by gasoline, and 4,673 were diesel.

The EVconnect electric car charging network will exceed the threshold of 500 stations by the end of the year, and by 2025 the network will include at least 3,000 electric car charging stations. Last year, 166,244 charging sessions were registered on the EVconnect network, totaling 2.37 Gwh, which represents a reduction in the CO2 footprint of 1,989 tonnes.

The Doraly Expo Market commercial park is investing €2.1 million in energy efficiency solutions, by installing photovoltaic power plants, and charging stations for electric cars and replacing all lighting fixtures with LEDs. The photovoltaic panels will produce approximately 2,700 MWh of green energy annually, representing approximately 50% of the energy consumed.

ProCredit Bank launches the ProGreen Auto Credit for individuals who want to purchase a new fully electric or plug-in hybrid car. The bank has entered into a partnership with EVconnect, one of the main providers of charging solutions for electric cars; customers benefit from free electric charges for the first 1,000 kilometers traveled.

Autonom orders 200 electric cars worth €10 million and is speeding up the fleet electrification process. Last fall, Autonom received €15 million in financing from the European Investment Bank for the expansion of the fleet of electric and hybrid cars.
